The Varsity Eagles bowed out of the state tournament in the state semifinal with a shootout loss to FHN. The Eagles would score first in regulation when Liam Jansen's effort from distance curled perfectly into the bottom left corner. The Eagles would manage the game well from that point, but would unfortunately concede the equalizer off a long throw and goalmouth scramble with just six minutes to go. Neither team could find the winner throughout regulation and OT periods and the game would head to spot kicks to decide the winner. The shootout would go an epic 9 rounds before FHN claimed the decisive kick after an Eagle miss.
The Eagles will graduate 8 seniors who leave a tremendous legacy of success and leadership- Peter Borst, Will Bufalini, John Cassiday, Abel denDulk, Boris Lalic, Max Michael, Soren White, and Isaac Williams. Thank you, seniors!
