GREENVILLE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The varsity volleyball team defeated Greenville in three sets with scores of 25-7, 25-7, 25-14. Alyssa DeVries served 26 times with 5 aces and 0 errors, and added 28 assists. Evie Doezema put down 20 kills (.515 hitting percentage) and added 10 digs. Also contributing to attack finishing plays were Calista Bremer (6 kills), Kate Breems (3 kills and 2 blocks), Makenzie Ritsema (3 kills and 4 blocks), and Kidist Nelson (2 kills). Defensively the Eagles had a strong team effort back row from libero Grace Spoelma (13 digs), Abby Ames (12 digs), Hanna Bredeweg, Gabby Richardson (3 aces) and Rachel Larsen.
Next week Tuesday, OK White conference leaders GRC (5-0) and FHN (5-0) will battle for first place in the regular season.
