Eagles volleyball had another exciting weekend playing some of the top teams in the state at the EK invitational. The Eagles took first in their pool beating Holland Christian and Northview 2-0. In pool play the Eagles were led on offense by Mallory Bremer with 21 kills and Savannah Bol with an impressive hitting percentage of .400. Hanna Bredeweg led at the serving line with two aces a piece, she also put the Eagles in a good position on offense with 26 assists. Madison Peal led in the back row with a passing average of 2.2 and 26 total digs.

The Eagles moved forward to the gold bracket facing off once again with rival Lakewood High School. The Eagles beat the Vikings for the second time this season 2-0 with scores of 25-20 and 25-17. Grace Spoelma led the team on offense with 6 kills, a hitting percentage of .385 and 9 assists. Madison Peal and Rachel Larson both led on defense with 13 digs. After the win against Lakewood the Eagles faced off against #3 ranked Hudsonville High School. The team played with tenacity and grit but ultimately fell to the Eagles 23-25 and 25-27 losing in overtime and taking second place overall.

The Eagles Play their next match at home against the Rangers of Forest Hills Central for their first Conference match of the season.
