The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles volleyball team kicked off their season with an impressive performance, finishing the Grand Haven Invitational with a perfect 4-0 record. 

In their opening match, the Eagles faced off against Gross Point, securing a 2-0 victory with set scores of 25-18 and 25-15. With this win under their belt, the Eagles carried the momentum into their next match against Portage Northern, where they triumphed again with a 2-0 finish, winning 25-23 and 25-22. These victories allowed the Eagles to claim the top spot in their pool, advancing them to the gold bracket.

The Eagles continued their winning streak in the gold bracket, taking on Mona Shores securing another 2-0 victory with set scores of 27-25 and 25-13. This win propelled them into the finals, where they would meet the host team, Grand Haven.

In the final match, the Eagles defeated Grand Haven in straight sets, winning 25-17 and 25-12. The standout performance came from sophomore Grace Goodyke, who dominated at the net with an impressive 14 kills. Defensively, Piper Cebulski and Sylvia Setsma made their mark with three blocks each. 

The highlight of the finals came in the second game when Taylor Frost took control at the serving line, starting the game with an extraordinary 13 consecutive points and contributing five aces to the Eagles' victory.

Overall, the Grand Rapids Christian Eagles demonstrated strength, strategy, and athleticism throughout the tournament. Their solid start to the season sets a promising tone for the remainder of the year. GO EAGLES!
