The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles added two impressive wins to their record with victories against Holland Christian and South Christian High School, winning each match 2-0.

In their first match against Holland Christian, the Eagles showcased their strength in serving, dominating at the service line with a total of 9 aces. Taylor Frost led the charge with 3 aces, while Alayna McGowan contributed with two crucial aces of her own and two long serving runs. This match highlighted the Eagles' efficiency at the net, where outside hitters Lucy Vandrunen and Grace Goodyke combined for a total of 16 kills. Madi Peal also made her mark defensively, leading the Eagles with 5 digs, ensuring that GRC maintained control throughout the match. The final scores of the match were 25-19 each set.

The Eagles' next challenge came against the #3 ranked South Christian. Displaying remarkable teamwork and offensive strength, GRC achieved a team hitting percentage of .286. Grace Goodyke excelled in this match, delivering an outstanding performance with 20 kills, effectively attacking from both the front and back row. Setting their teammates up for success were Piper Cebulski and Taylor Frost, who had a total of 31 assists. The two pushed the tempo of the game and kept the Eagles in control during key moments of the match.

The second set of the match was a nail-biter, with the Eagles overcoming some late-game errors to push through and secure an exhilarating 30-28 victory, demonstrating resilience and notable teamwork to begin their season.
