In an electrifying final match of the district playoffs, the Grand Rapids Christian Eagles Volleyball team emerged victorious against West Catholic High School, clinching the title with a big 3-0 win, with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, and 26-24, solidifying their status as District Champions.
From the beginning, the Eagles showcased their control, keeping West Catholic out of system with impressive first contacts. As a team, they recorded an outstanding passing average of 2.2, with Grace Goodyke leading the way with an exceptional 2.9 passing average. Their effective serve-receive allowed the Eagles to execute their game plan effectively and dictate the pace of the match.
At the service line, the Eagles were on fire, tallying a total of 8 aces throughout the match. Taylor Frost was the standout server, contributing 3 aces, while Riley Anderson delivered a crucial ace in the third set that sealed the championship for the Eagles.
