The Eagles' incredible season came to a tough end last night in a thrilling, back-and-forth battle against the South Christian Sailors in the Regional Finals, where they ultimately fell in five sets. Despite dropping the first two sets, the Eagles displayed remarkable resilience in the third, battling back to win 26-24 in an overtime nail-biter. Fueled by the momentum from that hard-fought victory, the Eagles dominated the fourth set, winning 25-12 and forcing a fifth set.

In the final set, both teams exchanged points in a tense race to the finish, but South Christian ultimately took control after point 11, going on a run that sealed the match in their favor.

Though the outcome was not what the Eagles hoped for, they can hold their heads high, having given it their all and playing with heart. This team truly embodied the spirit of teamwork, and their effort was nothing short of inspiring.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our four seniors: Madi Peal, Lucy VanDrunen, Alayna McGowan, and Keira Porte. These athletes have poured countless hours of hard work and dedication into this program, leaving behind a legacy of true teamwork. We are incredibly grateful for their contributions and will always remember the impact they’ve made.
