On the defensive end, goalie John Watson made several key saves, while Jonah Mulder and Caleb Pugh anchored the back line with strong positioning and hustle throughout the match.
Varsity Recap: Grand Haven 5, Eagles 2
In what turned into a defensive slugfest, the Varsity Eagles dropped a close one, 2-5. The first half saw some of the best offensive movement of the season, with Sam Vander Meyden, Spencer Slagboom, and Adrian Selfe putting on a display of crisp passing and quick cuts to break through the Grand Haven defense.
Defensively, Logan Eaton, Lennox Veldheer, and Carson Stransky played with intensity, causing multiple turnovers and frustrating the Grand Haven attack. Despite the final score, the Eagles showed flashes of brilliance and continue to build momentum heading into the heart of the season.
