Grand Rapids Christian Varsity Girls Lacrosse won Friday night in a great game at Mattawan! Mattawan proved to be a strong opponent but our Lady Eagles were on fire from start to finish! The entire defensive line blocked themselves into our Defender of the game award. Meanwhile, Juniors, Adia Sikkema, Halle Couch, Maddie Christians, & Maggie Doyle showed the meaning of what it means to be a Lax sister with their consistency in passing and assisting for goals. They all share the award for this game.  Queen of the Game, Junior Elise DeYoung, showed her lacrosse maturity by being an integral part of the defensive line, communicating, and being a leader on the field. Our Groundhog award went to Junior Elizabeth Mehney for her numerous ground balls scooped off of the tufted grass field! Goals were scored by Senior Ava Lynn Roossien as well as Juniors Adia Sikkema, Elizabeth Mehney, & Halle Couch. Thanks to our fabulous fans!  Eagles Girls Lacrosse has one more game at home, Monday, May 8th. Please Note our schedule change, Varsity plays at 5:30 and JV plays at 7 pm against Hudsonville.  Go Eagles!
