The first game of the season was a success for the GR Christian Eagles, as they triumphed over the Jenison Wildcats with a commanding 20-5 victory. The Eagles came out strong from the start, showcasing their skill and teamwork on both ends of the field.

Hannah Kits led the charge offensively, netting 5 goals, while Grace Kelder and Esther Kissinger both contributed significantly, each scoring 4 goals. In addition to their offensive opportunities, Piper Slagboom dominated the draw controls with 8, and Grace Kelder added another 6, providing the Eagles with plenty of possession time.

The scoring didn’t stop there, as Piper Slagboom and Maddox Veldkamp each found the back of the net twice, further solidifying the Eagles' lead. Miriam Kuperus, Lila Jabara, and Nadia Bolkem also contributed, each scoring 1 goal to close out the game with a dominant 20-5 scoreline.

The Eagles' defense was equally impressive, combining for 8 caused turnovers, limiting the Wildcats’ scoring opportunities. Overall, it was a complete team effort, with all players contributing to the victory.
