The Eagles faced off against the Mona Shores Sailors on Wednesday night in a tough matchup that ended in a loss for GRC. The Sailors, a highly athletic and skilled squad, proved to be a challenging opponent from the first whistle.

Grace Kelder and Hannah Kits each scored two goals, with Piper Slagboom adding another to the Eagles’ tally. Slagboom also dominated in the draw circle, securing 7 draw controls and giving the Eagles valuable possession time to generate offensive opportunities.

Despite a stronger second-half effort and more time on attack, the Eagles could not overcome the Sailors’ strong defensive presence and couldn’t mount a full comeback.

The Eagles now focus on Friday’s matchup against Zeeland East, with game time set for 6 p.m.
