GR Christian 2 University Liggett 1
The Eagles captured the State Championship on Saturday by defeating University Liggett 2-1. The Eagles got on the board in the first inning when Cam Seth tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Ty Uchman pitched GR Christian Varsity Eagles to victory. The lefthander lasted four innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out three. Seth threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Seth recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for the Eagles.
Kyle Remington led the Eagles with two hits in three at bats.
The Eagles finished the season 36-5.
