GR Christian Varsity Eagles could not keep pace with Forest Hills Eastern Varsity Hawks 4-1 on Wednesday at Eastern.

Forest Hills Eastern Varsity Hawks were the first to get on the board in the first when Ben Fausey singled, scoring one run.

Parker DeHoek singled down the left field line, which helped GR Christian Varsity Eagles tie the game at one in the top of the third.

In the bottom of the third, Forest Hills Eastern Varsity Hawks broke up the tie when Fausey singled, scoring one run. Then a double by Max Ferrick followed to extend the lead to 3-1.

Forest Hills Eastern Varsity Hawks scored one run in the bottom of the sixth on a solo home run to left field by Ferrick.

Will Doezema started the game for GR Christian Varsity Eagles. The starting pitcher allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings, striking out four and walking none. 

DeHoek went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
