EAST KENTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Eagles hockey team won their opening conference game tonight beating the East Kentwood Falcons 4-0. Ashton Bol scored the first two goals in the second period, while Max Goodfellow added a power-play goal in the third period, and Sam VanSchepen added a shorthanded goal off a nice back door pass from Brendan Hofmann. Thomas Doyle had two assists in the game and Goodfellow, Bol, Adam Bocian and Jake Noordewier also had an assist in the game. Noah Herzhaft stopped all 18 shots for the shut out. The next home game is Wednesday against Grand Rapids Catholic Central. Game time is 6:15.
