The Grand Rapids Christian Co-op varsity team beat Lowell-Caledonia tonight 6 to 4 improving the record to 4-5-0-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference thanks to getting off to a four goal lead in the first period.  Lowell scored twice at the end of the first period to cut the lead in half. Isaiah Clark opened the scoring on a breakaway goal. Ashton Bol, Corbin Venckus and Benj Bultema also scored in the first period.  Assisting on the first period goals were Max Goodfellow, Ashton Bol, Jake Noordewier and Corbin Venckus. Lowell scored next to cut the deficit to a goal. Isaiah Clark added his second of the game on a shorthanded goal with assists going to Goodfellow and Bol. Once again the lead was cut to a goal before the second period ended. The third period was scoreless until a minute to go in the game.  Lowell pulled their goalie for an extra attacker and Brendan Hofmann picked the puck up in his own zone, skated to the redline and scored on the open net. Noah Herzhaft had 28 saves in the winning effort.
