The Grand Rapids Christian co-op varsity team won their second game in a row to even the record at 5-5-0-1. 3-1 in the conference. The Eagles jumped out to an early lead in the first period, but gave up too late goals and went in to the first intermission tied 2 to 2. Jake Noordewier scored from the redline to open the scoring. Benj Bultema scored the second goal of the game off a pretty pass from Ashton Bol finding him back door.  In the second,  the Eagles scored two goals but had one disallowed with the net being off it’s moorings. Max Goodfellow lit the lamp with 3 minutes to go in the second period.  Goodfellow scored his second of the game with four minutes to go in the third. With assists going to Jake Noordewier and Adam Bocian.  Bultema added an unassisted shorthanded goal a minute later, and then Brendan Hofmann scored on the power play with assists going to Noordewier and Bultema. Noah Herzhaft stopped 28 shots in the winning effort. The next home game is Saturday night at Eagles Ice Center as the Eagles will host Byron Center. Game time is 6:15
