FOREST HILLS CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL: 51
The JV Eagles went on the road and picked up a tough victory, defeating the undefeated Forest Hills Central Rangers 55-51. It was a tough hard-fought win and learning experience for the Eagles. Tyler Porte and Jaylan Ouwinga battled hard against a tall and physical Ranger front line and challenged a number of shots.
The Eagles made 5 of 7 free throws in the 4th quarter to seal the win.
Jonas VanderWoude played big the second half and finished with a game high 25 points for the Eagles. Dono’ Thames and Malachi Hooser scored 8 points each. Jaylan Ouwinga added 6 points with a big three late and 6 rebounds.
The Eagles tough week continues Friday when they host Northview at 5:30pm.
