Boys Junior Varsity Basketball takes down East Kentwood 44-40

The boys JV basketball team played host East Kentwood Friday night in the Quest Center. The Eagles had to take care of the ball and play great defense to stay in the game and they did just that. The Eagles would keep the game close in the 1st half, trailing 23-27 at halftime. Charlie King would score 9 of team high 12 points in the 1st half.
The Eagles came out in the 2nd half with energy and competed for the final 16 minutes of the game. They would get timely baskets and held the Falcons to 13 points in the 2nd half. Will Ferwerda would ice the game at the free throw line in the last minute of the game. Grand Rapids Christian would go on to win the game 44-40.
The Eagles got balance scoring in the game. Mason Abbott and Justin Davis would score 8 points a piece. Brieon Walton would add 6 points.
