The Eagles headed out to Hudsonville to take on Unity Christian on Monday night. The game remained a draw after a hard fought first 30 minutes. Finally, Becket Nieuwenheuis was able to break the deadlock after finishing a bouncing ball in the box. After an awesome celebration with a front flip, the Eagles headed into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
The game opened up in the second half, giving both teams their chances. Steller defense by Jayden Green and Jacob Brink kept Unity off the board. Noah Peterson was the first to find back of the net in the second half. His cool finish over the Crusader goalkeeper doubled the Eagles lead. The final goal of the game came from Wyatt Bawaja who picked off a pass and confidently fired it into the top corner from 20 yards out. Alex Nelson kept his 7th clean sheet of the year.
Eagles win 3-0 and move to 5-0-2 on the season.
