Catholic Central hosted Grand Rapids Christian on a warm Wednesday night. The Eagles immediately put the pressure on, and didn’t let up. Ben Williams, Will Gruennert, and Gerrit Boer took control of the midfield creating many excellent chances for their teammates. Noah Peterson was the first to convert on one of those chances. He finished with 2 goals on the day. The Cougar defense couldn’t stop Andrew Brink as he found the back of the net 3 times for his hat trick! He can thank Max Rodwell for his unselfish pass that allowed him to tap in his third goal. Tyler Wolters scored a rebound after a great save by Catholic Central goalie to add his name to the scoresheet. Owen Vanderwerf hammered home the Eagles 7th and final goal of the game. Alex Nelson and Soren Mayer combined for the shutout.
Eagles soared to a 7-0 victory and move to 6-0-2 on the season. The Eagles return to action at Jenison High School on Thursday at 5:00PM.
