The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles traveled for a rematch again the Forest Hills Northern Huskies on another hot Wednesday afternoon. The game started off quickly, with the Eagles producing chances and putting pressure on the Huskies. Against the run of play, the Huskies broke through the backline of the Eagles, firing a shot off the post, with the rebound initially saved spectacularly by goalie Alex Nelson, a third attempt was able to put the ball in the Eagle's goal for the first time this season. The Huskies continued to put the pressure on as the half went on. The Huskies held strong until a corner whipped in by Noah Peterson and subsequently headed off the crossbar and in by Tyler Wolters made it 1-1 in the game. The Eagles were starting to put the pressure on and shortly after, a wonderful ball from Gerrit Boer to Moses Hapner led to Hapner crossing the ball into the center where Noah Peterson skillfully danced around the goalie and a defender before rifling the ball into the bottom corner. The Eagles made it 2-1 and held onto their lead going into halftime.

Coming out of halftime was a skillful and quick paced battle between the two teams, resulting in small chances for both sides. But, ultimately the goal from Peterson would be the deciding mark on the game as it ended Eagles 2, Huskies 1. The Eagles concede their first goal of the season and ends their streak of 10 consecutive shutouts despite the victory but they remain unbeaten in 11 games. The Eagles move to 9-0-2 and host Forest Hills Central next Monday evening at 6:00PM in Eagle Stadium.
