The Eagles faced off against the Forest Hills Central Rangers on Monday evening. Excellent defending from the Eagle back line kept the game scoreless through the first half. Only a couple minutes into the second half, the Eagles defensive pressing payed off. Moses Hapner intercepted a pass across the back line and with great composure slotted the ball into the back of the net to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. It was Moses involved again for the Eagles second goal. After beating a couple defenders, he found Noah Peterson who hit the back of the net to double the Eagles lead. After being dragged down in the box, Owen Vanderwerf confidently hit his penalty into the top left corner to make it 3-0 Eagles. Forest Hills Central scored a consolation goal with a couple minutes left. The game ended 3-1. The Eagles move to 10-0-2 and return to action Wednesday at 6PM hosting Forest Hills Eastern.
