Grand Rapids Christian Eagles hosted the South Christian Sailors last night in Eagle Stadium. The game was a tight-fought battle in the first half and the Eagle's defense held strong, giving little room the to the Sailors offense. As the first half went on, the Eagles saw more and more of the ball, creating opportunities. The first came when Noah Peterson slipped through the backline and slotted a shot towards the bottom right corner, narrowly hitting the inside of the post and not crossing the line. Later another opportunity came as Tyler Wolters competed for a ball on a set piece almost securing a goal. The teams headed into halftime at 0-0. 

In the second half, the game was mostly in control of the Eagles who continued to put pressure on the Sailors defense with shots from multiple players challenging the goalie. The Sailors defense held strong and kept the clean sheet. The Eagles also kept a clean sheet, resulting in a 0-0 tie of two teams with great records.

The Eagles move to 11-0-3 and post their 12th clean sheet of the year. The Eagles return to action next Monday evening at 5PM traveling to East Grand Rapids for a rematch from a 0-0 draw earlier in the season.
