Shoddy play in the first inning put the Eagles behind 0-4 but as usual they battled back. Eli Kuiper had a clutch single single to cut the deficit to 3-4, but mental mistakes and more shoddy play lead to an eventual 3-6 defeat. 

Game 2 saw improved play, and was a defensive battle. Due to injury, the team played a player short on defense the last 2 innings. 2 players, Will Heagle and James VandenBosch, patrolled the outfield as if they were 3, making amazing catches!  Unfortunately, the team could only muster one run, plated on a clutch single by Peter Lesperance. 

James Krosschell, Nathan Reiffer, Peter Lesperance, and Will Gruennert were all effective on the mound today. Gruennert was a sparkplug with the bat, hitting a long double and collecting 4 walks in 6 trips to the plate. The Freshmen next take the field at Forest Hills Central on Thursday.
