GR Christian freshman boys basketball team traveled to Holland Christian Friday night, to take on the Maroons. It was a defensive low scoring game with Grand Rapids Christian winning 45-34. It was a close game thru out the first half, with the Eagles leading 21-16 at halftime. Coming out in the 2nd half the Eagles took control of the game with defense. Not allowing Holland Christian to score for 6 minutes. They got 2 key, 3 pointers by Cam Merritt and Luke Gelderloos to push them up by 10 entering the 4th quarter. The Eagles had a balance scoring attack wth Dono Thames leading the team with 13 points and Luke Gelderlos adding 6 points. The Eagles will travel to Reeths-Puffer next Friday for a 1:15pm game.
