FOREST HILLS EASTERN HIGH SCHOOL: 42
GR Christian boys freshman basketball team traveled to Forest Hills Eastern last Friday night. The Eagles came out slow in the 1st quarter trailing 11-9. In the 2nd quarter the Eagles turned up the pressure on defense and held Forest Hills Eastern to 2 points, to take a 21-13 halftime lead. In the 2nd half the Eagles ran their offense and shared the basketball, with 4 players scoring at least 9 points. They also made 6 of 8 free throws in the final minutes to win the game 54-42. The Eagles were lead by Josh Winkle who had 14 points. Dono Thames and Tyler Porte added 10 a piece. The Eagles will host Union Monday night at 5:30pm in the Quest Center.
