GR Christian freshman boys basketball team traveled to Wayland Tuesday night to take on the Wildcats. The Eagles jumped out to a 14-5 1st quarter lead, thanks to it's defense and hot shooting from the outside. In the 2nd quarter the Eagles wanted to get the ball inside and use their size. That helped the Eagles take a 27-17 lead into halftime. In third quarter the Eagles went on a big run thanks to the hot shooting of Quinton Sall who hit 3 straight 3's. The Eagles took a 44-28 lead into the 4th. Gabe Armstead played a great 4th quarter, getting some key steals, making some great passes, and scoring 6 points. That helped the Eagles secure a win by a score of 51-43. GR Christian return to action on Thursday night, as they take on South Christian at 5:30pm in the All-City gym.
