The Freshman Boys Basketball team played with first game back after the holiday break on Thursday at Grand Rapids Catholic Central. The boys started the game aggressively taking a 20-10 first quarter lead. Their focused play would then give them a 30-19 lead at the half. The Cougars would claw their way back in the third quarter, taking advantage of the Eagles scoring drought. Within the final 30 seconds of the fourth quarter, Sam Anderson would hit a game tying three pointer that would help send the game into overtime. With some clutch shooting, the Cougars would take the game in OT. The Eagles were lead by JJ Hall with 19 points, Sam Anderson with 15 points and Isaiah Owens with 8 points. The team returns home next week for a pair of games.
