The Freshman Boys Basketball team played a Thursday afternoon conference game against the Huskies of Forest Hills Northern. This game would turn out to be a defensive battle with both teams struggling to score the ball. The first quarter would end with the Eagles down 11-5. The team would cut the lead to four at halftime by holding the Huskies to one point in the second quarter. In the second half, the Eagles would increase their intensity on the defensive end and storm back to tie the game at 23-23. However, the Huskies would capitalize on a couple turnovers and put the game away. The Eagles were lead by Isaiah Owens with 8 points, JJ Hall with 5 points and Ky Bender and Sam VanderPloeg with 4 points. The boys with head to East Grand Rapids on Tuesday.
