FOREST HILLS EASTERN HIGH SCHOOL: 24
The Eagles started things off, scoring ten in the bottom of the first. However, the bats of FHE got going, tallying 20 hits, and the Eagles were unable to hold onto their lead. Abbe Diemer started things off on the mound, lasting 4.2 innings and had three strikeouts. Haily McBride came in for relief in the fourth, and Lauren Holkeboer in the fifth inning. On offense, the Eagles totaled 6 hits. Lily Gaastra led the team, going 2/3 with two singles, a walk, and two stolen bases. McBride, Ella Koetje, Lille Dekker, and Megan Hermen each had one hit. Koetje had a sacrifice bunt in the bottom of the fourth that forced an error to score Hermen.
The Eagles next game is at Districts on June 5 at 10 AM held at South Christian. We face off against the winner of Catholic Central and Wyoming Lee.
