GRAND RAPIDS CATHOLIC CENTRAL: 17.00
Catholic Central took an early lead in the start of game two, scoring 9 in the top of the 1st. After 5 innings the eagles lost game two 3-17. Karina Mora had the start lasting 1 time through the lineup. She gave up 5 hits, 7 runs, and 2 walks. Jaslene McWilliams headed back to the mound for another 4 innings. She gave up 10 hits, 3 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Rae Cummings finished it off in the top of the 5th giving up just 1 hit.
At the plate the eagles collected 5 hits by Brecken Cole, Karina Mora, Keira Porte, Anna VanHeulen, and Ellie VandeGriend.
The eagles next game day is this Saturday at the Ottawa Hills Invitational.
Congratulations to our senior Anna VanHeulen on her last home game and a great four years on the Varsity softball team! Anna plans to attend Hope College in the fall to study occupational therapy.
