The Eagles dominated their first game in a team effort against Holland, winning 21-1 on Tuesday with every player on the team making an impact at the plate to get on base. A key inning was their 12-run second inning, where multiple players contributed. Leech hit a two-run double, errors brought in several more runs, and VandeGriend, Mora, Porte, and Mersman all drew walks to score. In the third inning, the Eagles extended their lead with a series of hits and walks, adding four more runs. Rae Cummings earned the win, pitching three innings, allowing one hit, one unearned run, and striking out two. The Eagles were disciplined at the plate, drawing 14 walks, with Mora, Mersman, Porte, and Holman each getting two. VandeGriend, Cummings, and Leech each had two hits in the dominant victory. Jaslene McWilliams and Alexis Willis each also had one hit.
