The Eagles had a fast night swimming & diving against Mona Shores Co-Op at Calvin University last night! 

Starting off the meet strong, the 200 medley relay (Harkness, Harkness, Mills, Mills) took first place. Following that, Lucy Molenbeek placed 1st in the 200 freestyle with a season best of 2:15.33. Following Lucy, Gertie placed 2nd and Julia placed 3rd. In our third event of the meet, Maddie Mills placed 1st with a 2:21.44 in her 200 IM, securing her first individual state cut! Congratulations, Maddie! Shortly after her were Juliana Mills and Maeve Harkness. Onto the 50 free, Veda Harkness finished 1st with a 26.65, with Lucy Molenbeek and Olivia Koldenhoven in 2nd and 3rd.

Over in the diving well, the divers secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! Emmarie VanOss took third place with a score of 158.32, Emily Setlock came in second with 199.95, and Beatrice Volkema took first place with a score of 205.11. Big shoutout to Ella Vliem for a season best performance & Beatrice Volkema for nailing her front two and a half! 

Onto the second half of the meet, Juliana placed 1st in the 100 fly with a 1:03.15, a state qualifying time. Shortly after her were Veda Harkness and Maddox Veldkamp in 2nd and 3rd. Special shoutout to Lexi McKee for swimming the 100 fly for the first time ever! In the 100 free, Maddie Mills placed first with a 58.23. Taking second, Ali Buist went a PR, dropping 0.54 seconds! In third was Elizabeth Doezema. Olivia Koldenhoven placed second in the 500 free, swimming like a boss! Lindsey Wierenga also had an amazing 500 free and great job to Anneke Nederveld with a season best of 6:03.71. 

Our A (Harkness, Buist, Molenbeek, Mills) and B (VanDenend, Brandt, Heerema, Doezema) relays placed 1st and 2nd in the 200 free relay. In the 100 back, Maeve Harkness placed first with a 1:10.60. Following her was Julia Benthem taking second with a HUGE time drop! In the 100 breast, Anneke Nederveld placed second and Lindsey Wierenga took third. Shoutout to Ali Buist who swam the 100 breast for the first time ever going a 1:25.49! Finishing our meet strong, our A (Harkness, Doezema, Molenbeek, Mills) and B (Koldenhoven, Benthem, Vander Heide, Nederveld) relays placed 1st and 2nd. Our Eagles swam and dove great against Mona Shores, winning 145-41.
