The Eagles had a fun and speedy night at Calvin’s Venema Aquatic Center last night! The Eagles took on Forest Hills Northern Eastern and fought hard through the final event, coming just below FHNE with a score of 84 (Eagles) and 100 (FHNE).

Some highlights from the meet are below: 

Maddox Veldkamp dropped time & had a great 100 fly! 

Veda Harkness swam a 1:03.35 in the 100 fly, making a state cut. Way to go, Veda! 

Lucy Molenbeek & Ali Buist both dropped time in their 500. Go, distance queens! 

Ali Buist had a season best in the 200 free. 

Elizabeth Snow dropped 2 seconds in the 100 free. 

Rebecca Poppen dropped nearly a whole second in her 50 free, a best time! 

Lucy Molenbeek broke 28 seconds in her 50 free! 

Maddie Mills dropped nearly 2 seconds in the 200 free. Way to go, Maddie! 

Maeve Harkness won the 100 free, touching the wall at 57.55! 

Anneke Nederveld swam the 100 fly! 

Juliana Mills had a season best in the 200 IM! 

Braylon VanDenend had a great swim and season best in the 100 freestyle! 

Our divers had an incredible night on the diving boards, taking 1-4th place! Shoutout to all of our divers who are qualified for regionals at this point: Ella Vliem, Emily Setlock, Emmarie Vanoss, Beatrice Volkema, and Lilly Kate Devries!
