The Grand Rapids Christian JV girls basketball team came out firing on all cylinders Monday, dominating from the start with a 25-point first quarter. It was a balanced start with seven players contributing to the scoring in the opening period and setting the tone for the rest of the game.
Leading the charge was Iris Morgan, who had a standout performance. She finished with a team-high 16 points and was a constant disruption on defense. Alexis Willis was right behind her, contributing 13 points of her own, making her presence felt both offensively and defensively.
The Eagles’ press was a game-changer, as they consistently applied pressure and created turnovers that led to easy transition points.
Overall, it was a dominant performance from the JV Eagles, who were able to maintain control from start to finish. With the momentum they generated, the Eagles will look to continue building on this impressive performance Saturday at Zeeland.
