The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles came out on top with a 6-1 win over the Catholic Central Cougars in their latest JV soccer match. Vivi Duncan had two goals in the game and put the Eagles in control with a great shot off her left foot. Ella Johnson hustled and also scored twice adding to the lead. Elle deJonge tucked in another goal, and Rose Toly completed the scoring with a very impressive free kick into the top corner of the net. The Cougars managed to score once, but it wasn’t enough as the Eagles dominated throughout the game.

It was a great team effort as players like Kate Bawulski and Katrina Kuiper came close to scoring with solid play from the offense. The entire defense including Afaf Dahbi and Rose Toly were next to impossible to get past. The Eagles will look to keep this momentum going as their season continues with games on Monday and Tuesday!
