The Grand Rapids Christian JV girls traveled to Northpointe Christian on Tuesday for a late afternoon game. The weather conditions were cold and windy but the Eagles came out running and Vivi Duncan tucked in two goals. Following halftime the Mustangs got a goal bringing the score to 2-1. However the Eagles demonstrated super teamwork and built upon the lead with another goal for Duncan who completed the day with a hat trick. Goalie Lucy Leo, Afaf Dahbi, Makayla Wynbeek and the entire defensive line showed a very solid performance by beating the other team to the ball and limiting the Mustangs scoring opportunities. The home team had an own goal to bring the final score to 4-1 and secured a win for Grand Rapids Christian. The team is looking forward to returning to the field on April 16 for a game against Jenison.
