As the stormy weather began to roll in on Friday night the Eagles girls JV soccer team started off with lightning speed as Vivi Duncan scored within 45 seconds of the kickoff whistle. Vivi would score again and Ella Johnson had a great free kick that bounced in for a goal. The Bengals defense was continually challenged as Brooklyn Clem slotted in a shot. Delaney Denton was in the perfect spot to tuck the ball in the back of the net off a beautiful ball by Clem that glanced off the crossbar. With just a few minutes left in the first half the refs postponed the game due to thunder and lightning. The weather persisted so the game was eventually called off.
