The temperature was around 40 degrees, cloudy, and windy. But when the girls stepped on court, they raised the temperature and got another total team win. To accommodate for the weather, we played the first to 6 games with ad scoring. We were mentally tough, determined, and embraced the conditions. Everyone played with true grit, and the cold did not slow them down.
Number 3 doubles Liza Kooistra/Sophia Christians played like a hot knife through butter, winning in what seemed to be record time 6-0. Number 9 doubles Ali Buist/Ella Hoekzema also finished with the second fastest time 6-0. Our number 7 doubles Aubrey Visker/Faith Keilen had a nail bitter winning 6-5. Other great performances number 4 doubles Addison Barton/Madeline Small won 6-1, number 5 doubles Josie Divitto/Kate Triezenberg won 6-2, and number 8 doubles Alexa McKee/Suzi Denboer won 6-1.
As a team we played phenomenal, and were not fazed by the elements. Actual match score was 11-0, and overall score was 12-0. Honestly there were too many notable wins to name them all but the scores reflect their play. We want to thank all the players for the hard work before Spring Break, and look forward to seeing what this team can do in the later part of their season.
