The girls JV volleyball team went 2-2 at the East Grand Rapids Invitational on Saturday. During pool play, the Eagles lost a close battle with Hudsonville 0-2 (23-25, 26-27) before defeating East Kentwood 2-0 (25-16,25-20). The Eagles were placed in the silver power pool where they again went 1-1 after defeating East Grand Rapids 2-0 (25-18, 25-17) and losing a close match to Forest Hills Central 1-2 (23-25, 25-21, 14-16). Leaders for the day were: Gabrielle Richardson 58 digs, Alyssa Devries 76 assists, Rowan Cebulski with 26 kills and 9 aces, Ainsley Weeber with 25 kills, Abby Ames with 9 aces, and Kate Breems and Makenzie Ritsema each with 5 blocks.
