The JV volleyball team went 2-3 overall at the Grand Haven Invitational on Saturday. In pool play the team lost to Grandville (0-2), and Unity Christian (0-2) before beating Kenowa Hills (2-0) and placing 3rd going into the silver bracket. In the first round of brackets the team beat Montague 2-0 in the quarter finals before losing a close match to Grand Haven 1-2. Leaders for the day were Gabrielle Richardson with 50 digs, Ella Groen with 39 assists, Ainsley Weeber with 18 kills, Abby Ames with 15 aces, and Kate Breems with 11 blocks.
