Girls Freshman Volleyball vs. Jenison HS School

The Grand Rapids Christian Freshman Girls Volleyball team had a good start to the season at the Jenison High School Invitational finishing with 3 wins and 2 losses. They started in pool play, winning against East Grand Rapids and Jenison, falling short against Gull Lake. The team made it into the Gold Bracket, winning the first match against South Christian which put them in the gold finals. Although falling short in the gold finals in the third set, it was an overall good first tournament!
The team showed they can work together well and were even complimented on their kindness and team work from the officials. Their 3-2 record is a testament of the hard work the athletes put in during the first week of the season and we are excited to see what is to come!
