The Eagles got back on track in GR South action Tuesday night, going 2-1 on the evening. After a tight opening loss to East Kentwood (18-25, 25-27), GR Christian responded with a resouding 25-11, 25-10 victory against Thornapple Kellogg and a thrilling 26-24, 23-25, 19-17 win in a rematch against East Kentwood to close out the evening. Junior Joey Pastoor and Sophomore Max Michael shared setting duties as the Eagles employed a 6-2 rotation for the first time this season, and both played well in their new roles. Pastoor contributed 7 kills in addition to 13 assists, while Michael posted 12 assists in his first career setting action. George Boville put forth a huge effort, particularly in the finale against EKHS; he finished the night with 15 kills and 5 aces.
