Girls Varsity Track vs. MHSAA State Finals

The Eagles finished in 33rd place at the State Finals Saturday. The top finisher for the Eagles was Natalie VanOtteren with her 3rd place in the 3200 ( 10:54 ) Also running the 3200 was Ellie Scholma ending in 15th place ( 11:20 ) Natalie and Ellie teamed up with Naomi Nelson and Payton Holtz to run a 9:44 4x800 relay and get ninth place. Ife Ayoola set a PR in the shot put of 38'6" and finished 8th. And finally the 4x100 relay team of Paige Ferwerda, Alayna McGowan, Za"Nya Mosely, and Marie Line Henderson took 30th in the event. It should also be noted that Freshmen star Daelyn Jones suffered a hamstring injury just days before the meet and was unable to compete at her usual ability. After trying in the 100 with considerable pain, she was scratched from her other two events. We look forward to seeing her the next three years!
