This past Saturday, the Girls’ Track and Field team competed at the highly anticipated Houseward Invitational—also known as the Christian Schools Meet—hosted by Unity Christian High School. Despite a chilly start to the day, complete with winter hats and coats, the sun broke through by the afternoon, setting the stage for a fantastic day of competition.

Facing a deep and talented field of 14 teams from across the Midwest, the Eagles delivered an impressive performance, securing a 4th place team finish. The meet was highlighted by numerous personal bests and standout performances, including a meet record in the 100m dash by sophomore Daelyn Jones, who clocked an incredible 12.41 seconds.

First place finishes included:

• Daelyn Jones – 100m (12.41, Meet Record)
• 4x100m Relay – 51.32 (Paige Ferwerda, Alayna McGowan, Taylor Frost, Daelyn Jones)

The Eagles return to the track this Tuesday for a dual meet at East Grand Rapids High School, ready to keep the momentum going.
