Eagles Compete Strong at East Kentwood Kickoff Classic

The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles Boys and Girls Varsity Bowling Teams faced tough competition at the prestigious East Kentwood Kickoff Classic on Saturday. This annual Invitational tournament attracts some of the state’s top teams, and this year’s field did not disappoint, featuring state finalists and champions from Grandville, Jenison, and Grand Haven.
The Boys team finished in 4th place, earning a spot in match play. There, they were seeded against the #1 ranked and defending State Champions, Grandville. In a thrilling head-to-head battle, the Eagles fell just 11 pins short of pulling off the upset, narrowly losing to the Bulldogs.
Meanwhile, the Girls team had a solid day on the lanes, finishing in 7th place, out of 12 teams, with a score of 1721.
A strong showing for the Eagles as they tested themselves against some of the best teams in the state. Great job to both Teams!
