The Eagles found themselves up against more than just extreme wind Saturday at the MHSAA finals. Freshman Lilah Poel and junior Payton Holtz ran side by side the entire race to end 25th and 27th, and earn all-state with Natalie. Senior Sarah Timmer ending her high school cross country career with 65th place finish followed by junior Adia Sikkema in 80th. Junior Naomi Nelson was sidelined the last two weeks with a stress injury in her foot. Naomi, the Eagles number two runner in the last two races, found the pain and running lay off tough to overcome and run up to her normal standards, was 113th. Senior Katelyn LaRue was 143rd.  The Eagles were conference and regional champs, and finished third in the finals. The Eagles have now finished in the top 5 of the state 20 of the last 21 seasons.
