Boys Junior Varsity Golf vs. Multiple Opponents

Eagles Lose: -
The boys JV golf team played a league match vs Byron Center and Greenville on a beautiful Monday at North Kent Golf Course and bested both of their opponents 197-202-216. Sophomore Caelen Wigboldy shot the low round for the team with a 46, Freshman Arie Nol and Sophomore Bryan Diemer tied with a pair of 50’s and Sophomore Tyler DeBoer rounded out the team scoring with a 51. The team will wrap up its season with a final league event on Thursday at Boulder Creek Golf Course at 1:30pm.

The JV boys golf team played the best it has so far this season taking 1st place at an 18 hole tournament in Hastings on Friday. The team shot a 308 and 4 of our team were the top four individual golfers in the tournament! Ty Erickson and Tyler DeBoer tied for first place at the tournament as they each shot 76's, while Josh Hooper and Brody Baysore tied for 3rd overall with a pair of 78's. Arie Nol tied for 9th overall in the tournament with a 94.
The team plays next on Monday vs Greenville at North Kent Golf Course.

The boys JV golf team lost to Byron Center but defeated EGR on a beautiful Wednesday on the golf course. The team shot a 175 with BC shooting a 168 and EGR a 212. Sophomore Brody Baysore shot the low round of the match with a 40 while Ty Erickson shot a 41 and Josh Hooper a 45. The team plays next on Friday at The Legacy in the 18 hole Hastings Invitational event.

The boys JV golf team defeated EGR and Greenville 173-185-208. Ty Erickson shot the low round for the team with a 41. Brody Baysore fired a 42 and Tyler DeBoer and Arie Nol rounded out the team scoring with a pair of 45%u2019s.
The team plays next on Wednesday at Maple Hill Golf Course.

Sophomore Josh Hooper shot the low round for the match posting an excellent 2 over par 35. Brody Baysore fired a great 39 and Tyler DeBoer and Bryan Diemer each posted a solid 42 to round out the team scoring. The team next travels to North Kent on Monday to face Greenville and EGR.

The JV boys golf team continued their winning streak on Wednesday afternoon at Indian Trails, defeating FHN and Lowell, 165-167-NTS (No team score). The team was led by a sophomore Caelen Wigboldy shooting his personal best round of 37, Sophomores Tyler DeBoer and Bryan Diemer with a pair of 41s (also Bryan's personal best round), and Arie Nol rounding out the team scoring with a 46. Playing in their first competitive match, freshmen Aaron Dahlberg and Tysen Davies shot a 49 and 59 respectively, which is very solid for a first competitive high school round of golf!
Good work to the whole team!

The boys JV golf team improved on their best team score of the season while beating EGR and Lowell on Wednesday 157-196-198. The team was led by Freshman Ty Erickson who shot a 2 over par 38 and Tyler DeBoer who shot a 39. Sophomores Brody Baysore and Caelen Wigboldy rounded out the team scoring with a pair of 40%u2019s. The team looks to keep improving this Friday at an 18 hole tournament in Hastings.

The boys JV golf team played a tri match Wednesday at Ironwood Golf Course in Byron Center. The team shot a 180 which wasn't good enough to defeat the Byron Center home team, who shot a 170 as a team, but was good enough to beat FHN who shot a team score of 192. Freshman Ty Erickson was the low score for the team shooting a solid 42 in windy, cold conditions. Sophomore Josh Hooper fired a 44, Brody Baysore a 45 and Caelen Wigboldy a 49 to round out the team scoring.

The GRCHS boys JV golf team defeated FHN and Greenville with a score of 161-173-220. Freshman Ty Erickson shot the low round of the match with a fantastic 2 over par 35 at Indian Trails Golf Course. Sophomore Brody Baysore added a solid 39 as the boys team began league play with 2 wins in the OK White.

On a windy day north of Hudsonville, MI., the JV boys golf team started their season with a match vs. Unity and Calvin Christian. The Eagles beat the Calvin Chr. team 190-196 and lost to Unity Chr. 190-180. Sophomore Josh Hooper and freshman Ty Erickson were the low rounds for the team each with a solid 45 on a cold, windy day!
