Girls JV Basketball Loses a Close One to Northview

Eagles Lose: 37 - 43
The JV Eagles finished their season Thursday night with a hard fought final game. The girls knew coming in that they had lost by a fair bit the first time they played Northview and they did not let that thought matter a bit. The girls were tough and well disciplined on defense immediately, holding the Wildcats to only 2 points in the first quarter. Lydia Ydenberg and Lilah Poel came alive on the glass on offense and defense to keep the Eagles in front going into halftime. The third quarter brought some trouble with their center finding some buckets down low, but the girls were able to stick with them all the way to the end. Mags Cumming became the one to worry about sinking 3 three balls in the second half. So many spurts of great basketball, it was fun to watch. It was a good loss and a team finish to be proud of against a strong Northview squad. Mags, Ydenberg, and Poel all ended with 9 points a piece. We had so much fun watching all 10 of these players get better this season!
