Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball vs. OPEN

Eagles Win: 2 - 1
The Grand Rapids Christian JV Volleyball team finished off their season with a win against Byron Center. The lady eagles finished 6-1 in conference, 11-1 in overall single matches played, and finished second in the Gold Bracket in all of their tournaments except 2. This group of girls worked hard throughout the whole season and they each improved on all of their volleyball skills. They also played through different line up changes and injuries that impacted key positions. The focus and drive of these student athletes was evident in the way they practiced hard each day and played hard in every match. It was a great end to a great season!

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Volleyball team finished off their season with a win against Byron Center. The Grand Rapids Christian JV Volleyball team won their match against Forest Hills Northern in 2 sets. The team played very well and served extra tough. The lady Eagles worked through different changes in positions and line ups to win. This showed that the team is a group of well rounded volleyball players who are skilled in multiple areas. It also showed their team work and just how far they have come this season. The team is looking forward to finishing their season strong this Thursday at their last match.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Volleyball team won their match against Northview in 2 sets. The eagles were able to battle back to win in the second set after being down several points. They showed great teamwork and focus throughout the match. They were able to serve tough and get the other team out of system which was a core contributor to their win. Stand outs were Mallory Bremer, Jordyn Jones, and Alayna McGowan.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Girls Volleyball team went 1-2 in their last tournament of the season at Grand Haven. The eagles made it to the gold bracket, which they have done in each tournament this season except for their very first one. The matches they lost were very close and were against some Class A schools. The girls played a lot of volleyball and worked hard throughout each match.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV volleyball team won their match against Byron Center in 2 sets. With this win the Eagles finished 6-1 in conference play. The team worked hard and served tough to pull out the win. Stand outs were Londyn Colton as libero, Alayna McGowan as middle, Ella Jansen as setter and Ava Baker as a defensive specialist. The girls were excited to finish the regular season off with a win and are focused on continuing to compete during their last two weeks of their season.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Girls Volleyball team went 2-1 in their tournament at Hudsonville. The eagles were able to beat FHC on Saturday after losing to them this past Thursday, which the team was excited about. The consistency of play and teamwork throughout each of their matches was a contributing factor to their wins.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Girls Volleyball had a tough loss to Forest Hills Central. They were very close to taking it to 3 sets, but it just didn’t go the way they wanted in the end. The team had several good defensive plays throughout and maintained steady serve receive passing as well. The eagles also racked up a few blocks at the net.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Girls Volleyball remains undefeated in conference play after beating Lowell. The eagles were able to secure the win by serving tough and taking big swings. Standouts were Ava Barton who stepped in to play middle for the first time all season and Anwen Amash who played right side for the first time all season. The team was able to support each other throughout these line up changes and still bring home a win.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Girls Volleyball team won their match against Greenville in 2 sets. The team really had to come together and work hard in order to pull off the win. This win keeps the Eagles undefeated in conference with a 3-0 record. Standouts were Avah Jerke on the outside, Ava Barton on the right side, Jordyn Jones on the outside, Ava Baker on defense and Alayna McGowan on defense.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Girls Volleyball team won their match against Northview. They worked hard all night and had multiple hustle plays throughout the match. Our defense was impeccable throughout with libero Alayna McGowan leading the team in digs. Defenders Anwen Amash, Mallory Bremer, Londyn Colton and Ava Baker also contributed to our win with multiple digs within the match.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Girls Volleyball team got second in Gold at their tournament at East Grand Rapids this weekend. They went 3-2 on Saturday with their only losses coming from Rockford. They were able to compete well in each match and won some close games by outworking the other teams. Keira Porte led the team with blocks for the day. Maddie Landheer and Abby Wieland also contributed several blocks throughout the day. It was a great day of competition and we will be working hard over the coming weeks to keep improving our play.

This showed how well they can work as a team and how skilled they all are. It was an exciting win that each and every player contributed to.

The Grand Rapids Christian JV Girls Volleyball team got second in Gold at their tournament at Hudsonville this weekend. They went 4-1 on Saturday with their only loss coming from Hudsonville. The team played amazing defense and served tough throughout each match they played. They maintained their high level of play during the whole tournament by communicating and keeping their energy high. The team is very motivated and excited for what's to come in the rest of the season!

It was a great improvement from our first tournament and the girls worked incredibly hard during a long day filled with multiple matches.

They fought hard to win multiple matches throughout the day and ended up taking second in the Silver Bracket. Overall, it was a great first tournament for the team filled with hustle plays and lots of teamwork.
